G.K. Shetty Vivekananda Vidyalaya in Ambattur, Chennai, is a renowned school known for its excellent academic standards and holistic development of students. The school follows the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing character building and instilling moral values. One of the good CBSE schools in Ambattur. Teaching is good and staffs are helpful. The playground is big and has a indoor stadium at the backside. Separate blocks for primary, pre-primary and higher secondary is there. It is located in the MTH road hence there will be heavy traffic during peak hours. It gives the students a touch of religious and traditional way and also extra curricular activities are available.
Used to be a good school few years back. Teachers now are totally inexperienced and education quality has deteriorated steeply. Children safety also gone for a toss with multiple risk incidents recently due to lack of attention and negligence from staff and management. Hope they take cognizance of these and bring up the standard again.
Best school in Ambattur circle.. Children would grow up with good discipline and with serve to nation habit. Only education wouldn't make the man perfect, but education is the foundation really needs to nourish our knowledge.
Knowledge without discipline would not help human and country as well..

i am a proud Alumni of this school, i am not sure how the school has changed now. But my days were golden, we had best of teachers and more importantly not only education focused but sports too.
after so many years out of school, i have often heard in my school days about man making education that the school gives, I can tell it has made me a responsible citizen, it taught me to truly value everything around, it taught me to treat everyone equally, it taught life lessons through Swami Vivekananda stories, it truly made me a man of what i am today. list can go on if you ask students who studied here.
i salute and humbly bow my head for all those great teachings from Guru's. hope it continues to build a vibrant future generation.

Firstly in 2020 i tried admission for My Daughter for L.K.G in Year 2020 due to corona Covid-19 Pandemic year. admission was soughted with school siblings and well known for higher officials of the school. But in 2022. and Note No Online admission. But in 2022, for My Son I tried for L.K.G in Year 2022. I have applied for online Admission and its number 061214. This year also Higher officials of School admission was intervened in Admission. so, for my child No Admission. I went to school many times for Admission enquiry in Office room they didn't said admission are in higher officials hand of the school. Worst School Admission policy. I would not recommend this school.
Really disappointed in the school admission process.. it s really waste of time to apply for school admission in online portal.most of the seats are filled only by references and some pre defined quota. Non-transparent in school admission and not showing online admission results. I have some good references, but I won't use for school admission.. this s not a good way to start the education...better change the school..
